I’ve been a fan of Sofia Coppola since she directed The Virgin Suicides in 1999, and this commercial for the Marni at H&M collection proves she can do just about anything. Shot at a villa in Marrakech, Morocco – where Coppola had been with friends years ago – the star of the commercial is British actress Imogen Poots (28 Weeks Later). And as with all Coppola films, the music choice is spot on, this time using “Avalon” by Bryan Ferry for the soundtrack.
Now go behind the scenes with Coppola and the rest of the cast and crew during production, and hear from the director herself.
Marni at H&M will be available in select stores and online on March 8, except in Japan and Singapore where the collection is scheduled to launch March 10.
