If you have love for hip-hop, jazz and soul music, you have love for the Robert Glasper Experiment. We have all heard them, you just may have never heard of them. The Robert Glasper Experiment have provided the in-studio and live percussion for artists ranging from Kanye West and Q-Tip to Carly Simon and Norah Jones.
The genre-blending sounds on their Feb. 28 release, Black Radio, are as eclectic as the musical company they keep. The album boasts covers of Sade‘s “Cherish The Day” and Nirvana‘s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” and features the likes of Erykah Badu, Lupe Fiasco, Bilal and Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def).
