When you have the 24 best high school basketball players on the court at one time, it’s an opportunity you don’t want to pass up. So after becoming the official apparel sponsor for the McDonald’s All American Game in November, you knew adidas was going to bring it in their first year.
As you can see, the players will wear the new, ultra‐lightweight adidas adiZero basketball uniform (most recently seen on Baylor) which features electrified colors and a pixelated, camouflage design inspired by the importance of teamwork and collaboration on the court.
Building on adidas Revolution 30 uniform technology used in the NBA, adiZero uniforms feature a ClimaCool zone which moves heat and sweat away from the body for optimal moisture wicking and breathability to keep the jersey from gaining weight during heavy sweating. And using a lighter bonding method, rather than stitching, to adhere player names and numbers to the jersey, no unnecessary weight is added.
The adiZero uniform includes an unlined short to provide a more comfortable, closer fit with compression base layers, while the short’s four‐way stretch woven material works with the body’s natural movement to increase mobility during lateral movements and sprints. Players will also wear the new adidas Team Speed basketball sock which uses compression throughout the entire sock for added stability, and CLIMALITE moisture wicking technology to reduce weight added by sweating.
The 2012 McDonald’s All American Game will be played on March 28 at Chicago’s United Center.
