By now you’ve seen Kevin Durant‘s latest signature shoe, the Nike Zoom KD IV. But I guarantee you’ve never seen it like this. Introducing the “N7” edition, made exclusively for KD’s game against the Clippers on Wednesday.
Durant wore the shoe to support N7, a community program and fund dedicated to providing access to sport and physical activity for Native American and Aboriginal communities with a focus on youth. Playing in Oklahoma City has brought KD close to the cause, and he collaborated with Nike Basketball and the N7 team to find a meaningful way to give back to the fans and community who have supported him.
Turquoise is the signature N7 colorway, which represents friendship in the Native American community, while the Pawnee star on the forefoot represents the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma. The N7 logo represents the medicine wheel, which reflects the circle of life philosophy, while the strap graphic is inspired by the Native American wisdom of the Seven Generations. The message inside the strap reads, “In every deliberation we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations yet to come.”
If you want to get your hands on a pair, the Nike Zoom KD IV “N7” edition drops this June at NikeStore.com and select retailers for $95.
