If you haven’t had a chance to check out Parra‘s “Weirded Out” mural at SFMOMA yet, I suggest you make some time. But if a trip to San Francisco isn’t in the cards before July 29, check out some photos and a time-lapse video below.
The video shows Parra at work on his mural across the 60-foot wall of the museum’s second-floor landing over the course of several days. The site-specific work was commissioned by the museum and features Parra’s signature hand-drawn typography and hybrid human/animal figures. Installation instructions for the mural are now a permanent part of the museum’s Architecture and Design collection.
