It’s time to get excited. Why? Because one of the best basketball movies ever made is coming to a screen near you. Doin’ It In The Park explores the definition, history, culture and social impact of New York’s summer hoop scene. Directed and produced by Bobbito Garcia and Kevin Couliau, the two visited 180 courts throughout NYC’s five boroughs to create their debut documentary, traveling to a majority of the locations by bicycle, carrying camera equipment and a ball in their backpacks.
Doin’ It In The Park uncovers this movement through the voices of playground legends, NBA athletes, and most importantly the common ballplayer who all day looks forward to calling “next” at their local court.
Doin’ It In The Park premieres this May in New York.

Aron! Thanks bro. We don’t have a commercial release set yet, so no premiere event anytime soon, but we do have a bunch of community screenings lined up starting this month and going thru the summer, including Rucker Park, Five-Star Camp, and more. Check http://www.facebook.com/doinitinthepark for more info. Can’t wait for you to finally see it!
