Last March I ventured to Glasslands Gallery in Brooklyn with my good friend Paddy to see The Jezabels. And while they were amazing, I was blown away by the opening act: Giana Factory. The all-girl trio from Copenhagen – consisting of Louise Foo (vocals, drum pads), Lisbet Fritze (guitar) and Sofie Johanne (bass, synth) – were unlike any band I’d ever seen. Playing a genre they call “Noir Pop,” these stylish ladies knew how to rock.
Today, Giana Factory finally releases the music video for their critically-acclaimed track “Rainbow Girl” – directed by the group themselves. I think you’ll like it.
Giana Factory’s new album, Save The Youth, releases worldwide in March.
