Last week I told you about the second annual Nike Graphic Studio show, and why you should check it out. Today, I’m back with some visual aids. Bringing together sport and art, the exhibition is titled Old School vs. New School, and harnesses the spirit of March Madness.
Pantone Tarts by Emilie de Griottes
This might be one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. French food designer Emilie de Griottes made tarts that recreate actual Pantone colors. Featured in French culinary magazine, Fricote, recipes for making these colorful desserts are available in their latest issue.
Nike Graphic Studio Art Show 2.0
Last year, Portland’s Compound Gallery hosted the first Nike Graphic Studio show and had one of the biggest turnouts ever for a First Thursday opening. After such a tremendous response, this year the show has outgrown their space, and is moving to The Cleaners at Ace Hotel.

Parra “The Vengeance Machine” Pocket Notebook
In conjunction with his upcoming exhibition at SFMOMA, Parra has partnered with CS Editions on an awesome new pocket-sized notebook. With a laminated cover and double saddle-stitched spine, the notebook features 48 pages of smooth, off-white paper with no bleed through. There’s also a short artist bio on the back inside cover.
